Executive summaries and comments

Add written context to a report and discuss findings with your team directly on the charts.

Editing the executive summary

The Executive Summary is a free-text section at the top of every report. Use it for key takeaways, observations, or notes for reviewers.

  1. Open the report you want to edit.
  2. Select the pencil (✎) icon next to the Executive Summary heading.
  3. Type your notes in the text area that appears.
  4. Select Save to keep your changes, or Cancel to discard them.

Commenting on charts

You can leave comments on the executive summary or on any individual chart.

  1. Select the comment icon on the executive summary or on a chart card.

Comment popover

  1. Type your comment in the text field.
  2. To mention a team member, type @ followed by their name. They will receive a notification.
  3. Select Send to post your comment.

To edit or delete one of your own comments, select the options icon next to the comment.

Unread comments are shown with a highlighted comment icon on the chart or summary section.
